Loveders nursery is a family run business operating since 1983. Owned by Dr Mark Paterson and Kirsty Guthrie, the nursery is run by a highly qualified and experienced team of staff and we are proud to say that many have been with us for over 10 years.
Katrina joined Loveders in 1990 and has worked her way up from Nursery Practitioner to Manager, gaining a BA in Early Childhood Studies and Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) in the process.
Monika started in 2009. She has an MA in Pedagogy and her enthusiasm to extend her knowledge and training saw her immediately enrol on the Early Years Professional Status training course. As Curriculum Leader, Monika leads practice across the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Monica is also the lead SENCO supervising the provision for our children with additional needs.
Georgia joined the team in 2017 as a Nursery Practitioner, having previously worked in a school with reception aged children. Georgia has recently been promoted to Supervisor and leads practice for our 3 and 4 year olds.
Enrique, a qualified teacher specialising in music, designs and delivers our Spanish and music program to all of the children.
Johanna joined us in 2015 as an apprentice where she gained her level 3 qualification. She provides support to Georgia in the running of the nursery room.
Sarah has been at Loveders for over 30 years joining us back in 1994. She has a level 3 qualification and uses her wealth of experience to lead the Nurture Room.
Will joined the Loveders team in 2023 whilst completing her NVQ level 3 qualification. She has recently been promoted to deputy room leader, providing support to Sarah in the running of the Nurture room.
Beth joined us in 2014 and has since gained her level 3 qualification. She has many years experience working with under twos and leads the team in Little Loveders.
Jess supports Beth in the running of the baby room.
Alisha keeps everything going at Loveders behind the scenes, responsible for all aspects of administration.
Karen has over 30 years experience focusing on the mental health and well being of young children. Being both a qualified nursery nurse and yoga teacher allows her to create wonderful experiences for the children.
The majority of our Nursery Practitioners have at least a Level 3 NVQ qualification in childcare or are working towards it and several have gone on to obtain degrees and post graduate qualifications in Early Years subjects. All staff have undergone an enhanced DBS check and complete paediatric first aid and safeguarding training on a regular basis.
